Fauquier County
Fauquier County is located in Northern Virginia, approximately 50 miles west of Washington, D.C. The county was established in 1759 and is named after Francis Fauquier, who served as the Lieutenant Governor of Virginia at that time. Fauquier County is known for its beautiful rural landscapes, rolling hills, and historic charm. The county covers an area of about 650 square miles and is home to a population of around 70,000 people, as of the 2020 census. The county seat is Warrenton, which is also the largest town within the county.
